Cricket

Hi there,

Today I have a card I made for my brothers birthday. I have used the cricket player stamp from Lili of the Valley as he has always played cricket, however part way through making it I realised that now that he is a Dad he doesn't really have the time. I hope it is not rubbing salt into a wound. Oh we'll I'm sure he will love it.

Here he is;
Image by Lili of the Valley
Echo Park Scoot papers
Coloured with Promarkers
Bosscut Flourish and Happy Dies
Marianne Bird Die
Mpress Nesting Die
Stickles Crystal

I have gone with an easel fold card as I wanted him to look like he was standing ready to bat. I hope you like him.
I am entering this card in the following challenges;

Have a great weekend

White

Hi everyone,

Today I got another Christmas card done. Ribbon Girl had a white challenge going on so I decided to use it for another Christmas make. It was a quick and simple card but I used some techniques I have been neglecting. I forgot how much fun embossing is, both wet and dry. Simple but effective.

Here is my card;

I wish to enter this card in the Ribbon Girl White Challenge and Penny's Challenge no. 154 Anything Goes.

I hope you like it, thanks for the visit.
Cheers Nic.

Elf Kaylee Double

Hello again,

I got a little bit more of my Christmas Crafting done today thanks to some challenges.  They really get me crafting.  I have definitely gotten the challenge bug, I love them.

Today I am using Elf Kaylee again, she is so striking, I love her.  I will be using her a lot this Christmas.  She is so easy to use and so spunky.  I have also included a matching box which I am sure I can use this Chrissy.

Here are my two projects for today;

Springtime

Hi folks, what a lovely day.

I had a great weekend. I won a challenge, it was a random draw but I don't care, I'm totally stoked. Then I played in a Volleyball comp for our centre and we finished 2nd which meant we got a small cash prize. Good feelings all around.

Today's card uses a pretty Saturated Canary image called The Seasons, Springtime and the layout is based on the current Saturated Canary Sketch Challenge.

Here it is;

LOTV Sparkle

Hi how are you,

It's very hot today so I am just chill'n on the couch after a long day at work, watching a movie.
Today's post is of a card for my sister in law (a different one from before) using a Lili of the Valley stamp. I added plenty of sparkle to her, not the best photo though, sorry. All the flowers have Stickles on them as well as her hat and clothes. I love sparkle but I do think that too much can wreck the creation. I hope there is enough for you.  She has also been paper pieced onto the swing to 3d her a bit.

Here she is;
LOTV image and sentiment
Echo Park Spring papers
Coloured with Promarkers
Bosskut flower die
Crealies flourish die

The photo really does not give it justice, the sparkles don't stand out as well as I would have liked and she doesn't quite pop off the page like she did on my desk so the paper piecing does not show up as well as I would have liked. I hope you like it anyway.

I wish to enter this card in the Ribbon Girl Lovely Lili Challenge.

Hi again.

Yay me, I managed two posts today. I really wanted to get this card done and entered in some challenges while I still had some creative juices flowing. This card was made for my daughters teacher as it is nearly the end of the school year. She is such a wonderful teacher and was just what Jas needed. I wanted this to be special as she really deserves it.

Here it is;

I wish to enter this card in the following challenges;

Hoot of a Birthday

Hi there,

Today's post is for the Desert Island Crafts Challenge. I love how they have an itinerary to follow. This particular one was quite challenging at first but then at the last minute I had a brain rush and I managed to whip up this tag. This is my first proper tag I have made and it was a 'hoot' to make.

I also want to team my tag up with the Crafty Cardmakers Paper Piecing Challenge. They also post great challenges that make you try new things.

Here it is;
Stamp, magazine freebie
Quick cuts star die
Platinum Stickles
Spellbinder Blossom Nesties
Echo Park Dots and Stripes Christmas Paper

I am entering this tag into DICC #65 and I have used no.3 owl, no.4 tree ( a branch of one), no.5 stars, no.6 don't be square and no.7 sparkle.

I also wish to enter my tag in the CraftyCardmakers Paper Piecing Challenge #104. I have paper pieced the wings, part of the body, the nose and the eyelids.

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you like it.

Elf Kaylee, blue style

Hi everyone,

I am so glad the working week is over. I was lucky enough to have a short day today so after school pick up I got to do some crafting, yay!  Today's card is using the super cute and versatile 'Elf Kaylee' from Some Odd Girl. I will be using her a lot this Christmas Season as I find it difficult to get Christmas images that aren't wintery. Whilst I love the wintery images they don't really suit the hot Christmas of Australia, so when I find an image suitable for an Aussie Christmas I use it as much as I can.

Well here she is;

Image is Elf Kaylee by SOG
Coloured with Promarkers
American Crafts Knock Out Edger Punch
Quick Cuts Gingerbread Dies
Papers are Echo Park Dots and Stripes Christmas
Baby Blue and Diamond Stickles

These colours aren't really traditional Christmas colours (I did use a Christmas paper pad though) but I really love using alternative Christmas colours to keep my cards modern looking. I hope you like the colour combo I used. It is from the November Colour Combination Challenge at Daring Card Makers. I am entering this card in their challenge, I hope you like it.

'Alter It'

Hi lovely people,

When I saw the latest challenge from Saturated Canary I was excited but I wasn't sure what I could do. Then I got a sample shampoo set in the mail and the idea hit. I decided to alter the little box so my daughter could have a place to put her earrings. We keep misplacing them, so it will be helpful for me too. She loves Saturated Canary images and she gets so excited when she looks at the flowers etc in my craft room, so this should go down well.

Here is my project;

The image is 'Canary Love' by Saturated Canary
Coloured with Promarkers
Papers and epoxy sticker are from Kathy Davis

Hi folks,

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for my father in laws birthday. Male cards as you know can be quite difficult, but I actually found this one to be quite enjoyable. This image was fun to work with and the papers gave it an outdoorsy feel which suits the recipient.

Here is my card for this post. I have called it 'Blue Day' as I made it as a cheer up a friend kind of card.  I have made this for the 'Play Some Blues' Challenge #16 at lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com.

Alternative Christmas Colours

Hi there,

Today's card is the first Christmas card I have actually put together for this year. I have coloured up plenty of images but I haven't gotten into gear to start to make them. So I would like to thank the Graph It Markers Challenge for getting me going. I am entering this card in the 'Alternative Christmas Colours' Challenge. I was experimenting with two new sets of promarkers when I coloured this gorgeous SOG Elf so it fit perfectly with the theme.

Here she is;
