Penny's Challenge 208

Hi again,

Two posts for me today. This time it's my card for this weeks challenge at Penny's.  This week the theme is Anything Goes so it's a nice easy one for you.  This weeks sponsor is Bugaboo so of course I have made a CAS card because that's what I do with Bugaboo images, I love them.

Here it is;
This image was so easy to use. A quick bit of colouring to match the papers and then a simple design led to a simple yet effective card.  The sentiment is a magazine freebie that I added to the image. I think the image is so versatile, you could use so many different sentiments with this to make many different fab cards.

Thanks for dropping by today. Happy crafting.

Inky Impressions Challenge 190

Hi there,

How are you all?  I have a great little Inky Impressions image to share with you today.  It is from last months release and it is called 'Marleigha's Reindeer'.  This weeks theme is 'Winter Wonderland' so I decided to make one more Christmas card (although we have a hot Christmas here) because I just had to use her, she is so adorable.

Here it is;

I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out, I really enjoyed colouring it.  The papers are American Crafts Merrymint and I have coloured with my Copic's.  I have used an American Crafts Knock Out border punch and a lovely Whimsy die for the sentiment.  I used my Wink of Stella pens to make it sparkle and added gems to the snowflakes left over from the border.

Thanks for dropping by today, I really appreciate it.  I do hope you will drop by the challenge blog to check out the other inspiring cards and then enter this weeks challenge.

I wish to enter the following challenges;

Penny's Challenge 207

Hi there,

How are you all? My card for this weeks challenge at Penny's is using a happy little stamp from Robyn's Fetish. The theme this week is Anything but Christmas so I thought this stamp would be useful for a farewell card for a colleague at work who will be retiring early next year.

Here it is;
The whole time I was making this card I had the Goodbye, Farewell.... song from The Sound of Music stuck in my head, annoying but fun. The lady this card is intended for is such a good person who has had a hard time of late so I wanted to make it a special one. I hope she will like it.

Thanks for dropping by today, I love that you came by for a visit.

Happy crafting

Inky Impressions Challenge 188

Hi folks,

I hope you are all well and are up to date with all your Christmas prep, I know I'm not. :) This weeks challenge at Inky Impressions has a Snow theme to it.  Perfect for all of your beautiful wintery Christmas cards.  I found it strange though as it is lovely and warm in my part of the world, but fun all the same.  I have used the super cute digi Merry Kiss-mas, I am loving penguins at the moment and these two are fab.

Here they are;

I have used a Swiss dots embossing folder to look like snow falling and just one piece of design paper for the background.  I have coloured these two with some of my new Copic's, I love these colour combo's (R35, 46 &59, G21, 24, 28 & 29, W1-7) they were so easy to use and so effective. The sentiment is a Whimsy die that I got the other day, I love it. I added some Stickles and Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.  There you have it, simple but sweet.

Thanks for popping by today.

I wish to enter the following challenges;

Penny's Challenge 205

Hi there,

I hope you are all well and are getting in plenty of crafting during this busy season. My card for today is for this weeks challenge at Penny's. The theme this week is Anything Goes, a nice simple one for you all. I have used a lovely Stamp Art Design by Kathryn image called Marie and I have made a fun Summery card to go with the lovely warm weather we are having at the moment.

Here it is;
Isn't she gorgeous? I just had to team her up with my new Echo Park Walking On Sunshine papers. These papers are so fun. I have used a couple of new Joy Craft dies that went perfectly with the look I was going for. The banner die is also new to me and is by Poppystamps.

I hope you like my card today. Thanks for dropping by.

Penny's Challenge 204

Hello my beautiful crafting people,

I had a very busy few days crafting, 5 cards in 3 days. I managed it but whoa I was relieved when I was done. I have seen others who can do this no worries but I just don't seem to be able to. Well I guess until now. My card today is for this weeks challenge at Penny's. The theme this week is Anything Goes and I am expecting a big one so bring on the beautiful makes people.

Here is my card;

This beauty is from Lacy Sunshine called Patchy Penny's Patchwork Apples and I have coloured her with my Copic's. I used scraps of Echo Park Spring papers to go with the patchwork theme of the stamp. She is quite a sweety and I love how she is carrying the apple.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little creation.
Happy crafting

Inky Impressions Challenge 186

Hello again,

I have some more Inky love to share with you today. Today I have my card for this weeks challenge which is Anything Goes with Pearls.  Super easy this week.  My card is quite a simple one this time as this little girl is so pretty, she didn't need a lot of embellishing.  Her name is Birthday Lili and you can find her here.

Here she is;

I love these colours together, they made me feel bright and cheery.  I hope the recipient will feel the same way.  You can also find the sentiment in the shop here.

Thanks for dropping by today, it was lovely that you came.

Inky Impressions November Release

Hi there busy crafters,

Today I have a great little image to share with you from the November New Release at Inky Impressions.  The images this month are so good.  There are some great Christmas images and also some lovely kitchen style images (also could double as Christmas stamps) for you to choose from. I chose something different this time as  I needed a break from Christmas prep. His name is Baking Sammy and I think he is fab.

Here he is;

I tried to colour him so that he has long fur by using a 'flicking' style technique (a Kit and Clowder inspired decision) and I am pretty pleased with how he turned out. I have used some old papers from a paper pad called Kitschy Kitchen by Melissa Frances.  The sentiment is also part of the new release and you can find it here.

I do hope you like these images as much as I do and that you go and check out the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with, with the rest of the fab new images.

Thanks for dropping by.

Penny's Challenge 203

Hi lovely people,

I hope you are all well. Today I have a cute little Christmas card for you using a fun Christmas image from Dianne's Daydream Designs. The theme this week at Pennys is 'Use Black Cardstock' which I thought would be tricky but I forgot how black card stock is so effective. The other ladies on the team have made some lovely projects using this theme, I would love for you to check them out.

Here is my card;
I hope you like my little make this week. Thanks for dropping by.

A bit of Whimsy

Hi there,

How are you all?  Somewhat of a different post for me today, I am entering the DT call at Whimsy Stamps.  I adore everything Whimsy, the stamp artists are so talented and I love all the extras as well.  The dies are so lovely and the clear stamps are so fun.  Whoops better stop rambling and get back to task.  I have created a card today using a sweet little fairy called Posey, I just think she is gorgeous.

Here is my card;

and a close up of my colouring

I went for soft tones today as I wanted her to look so sweet and pretty. I finished her with my clear Wink of Stella pen to her wings and shoes because every fairy needs some sparkle.  The papers are from the Echo Park Hello Summer paper pad and I have coloured her with Copic's.  The sentiment is from a Wee Stamps magazine freebie that I adore. The other dies used are from Joanna Sheen.

Now I guess I better try and sell myself, this is an application.  I'm not the best colourist but I do it for fun and I am constantly trying to get better.  I love to watch and learn from others and then work out what suits me best.  I am currently taking the Skin and Hair class and the Clothing class from Kit and Clowder and whilst I am still only part way through them I am learning so much and my colouring is benefitting.  I love colouring with my Copic's (my new addiction) and I am just starting to play with some other mediums such as SN pencils, Inktense pencils and Distress Inks/Markers.  I just love everything about Whimsy and I would so love to be part of the Design Team.

Oh, I couldn't just do one card with this cutie so here is another fun one for you.

Here she is again;
and another close up

Thanks for dropping by my little blog today, I so appreciate it.
Cheers Nicole

Inky Impressions Challenge 184

Hello again,

I have another cute card for you today for this weeks challenge at Inky Impressions. The theme this week is 'Creative Corners' so that means we want to see you decorate the corners of your cards.  If you are like me and you do that on most of your cards then this should be easy. I have used a super cute image for my card today he is called Robinhood Christopher. I have kept it fairly simple as I don't have a recipient in mind at the moment so I think I will just add a number to it when I need it.

 Here he is;

I got out my Promarkers to colour this week as I just love this green combo but the rest is using my Copic's.  The papers are my usual Echo Park and the die is from Bosskut.  I quick make this week for me. I find these images so easy to use so the cards really just flow once they are coloured. I hope you like it.  If you need more inspiration please head over to the challenge blog to check out what the other ladies have come up with, you will love what they have made.

Thanks for the visit, leave a comment and I will come visit you. I love checking out other peoples blogs.

Penny's Challenge 202

Hi everyone,

This week's card for the current challenge at Penny's was a strange one to make.  Most of you will look at my card and think it is a normal Christmas style card to make but to me down here in Oz it is quite odd.  We celebrate a hot Christmas where I am so snow themed cards are not the norm for me but I could not resist these cute guys from Deedee's Digi's called Dashing Through.

Here it is;

The theme this week is 'Creative Corners' so this means you need to decorate the corners of your card.  I have just used gems to decorate mine but you could use anything.  Pop on over to the Challenge blog to see what the other ladies came up with, I'm sure they will inspire you.

Thanks for dropping by,
Nicole

Penny's Challenge 201

Hi folks,

How are you? I hope life is treating you well. We have a great challenge for you this week at Penny's, another Anything Goes. Yay, so simple. I have used a great Bugaboo image this week which was so fun to colour. There is something about these images that makes me want to do Clean and Simple (my version anyway) and I am starting to think that I am getting the hang of it.

Here it is;
I hope you like my card this week, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Hopefully you have been inspired to get crafting and enter our challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Penny's Challenge 200

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying life.  Today I am sharing a card made with another gorgeous image from Stampart Design by Kathryn, her name is Mermaid Pearl.  I just had to use her this week because our theme at Penny's is Polka Dots and Pearls.

Here she is;

I hope you like her.  She was fun to colour, although I did have a problem with sticky markers.  I have kept her quite simple this week so it was super easy to make.

Thanks for dropping by today.
Cheers Nicole

Inky Impressions Challenge 182

Hi again,

I am here today to share another make for you using a deliciously fab image from Inky Impressions.  This weeks challenge is 'Check Mate' (interpret it however you feel, but if you are unsure leave us a note in your link up) and I used Maddie Spreading the Love.  Isn't she so fun?

Here she is;

I have used some gorgeous papers from the Echo Park Sweet Day pad and I decided to use them to make a checkerboard pattern as well as use checked paper.  This was really fun and easy to do and I think the result is quite effective.  She has been coloured with Copic's (please excuse the sticky marker, ugh) and finished off  with some Wink of Stella to all of the hearts.

I hope you like my project this week.  If you are looking for some more inspiration, why not check out what the other ladies came up with on the challenge blog.

Thanks for dropping by.

Penny's Challenge 199

Hi again,

Two posts for me today.  This time I have my card for you for this weeks challenge at Penny's.  This week we have Lacy Sunshine as our sponsor again (so generous) and that means that we have another Anything Goes theme, yay.  I chose a Christmas image this time called Mary Boo Candy Cane, she is so cute.

Here is my card;

Another one to add to my Christmas card collection, slowly getting there.  I have used American Crafts Merrymint papers and I have coloured her with my Promarkers for a change (the skin is Copic's though).  I have used minimal embellishments as I am thinking of doing a big batch of these.

Thanks for visiting today, I really appreciate it.  Don't forget to check out the other great makes from the rest of the Penny's girls over on the blog.

Cheers Nicole

Inky Impressions October Release

Hi folks,

Phew what a hot one we have had today.  Only October and the temperature hit 35.C.  I love Summer but this was a real smack of heat before I could prepare.

Well... back to why you are here.  Today I have a card to share with you using a super cute image from the October release at Inky Impressions.  Nicole's images are wonderful and she has some gorgeous ones for you this month.  Today I have used Fairy Lili with Snow Globe and you can find her here.  As soon as I saw her I wanted to colour her in blue or turquoise and I thought that using white with it would go with the snow in the globe.  My plan was for this to be a Christmas card but I think it could be used for a number of occasions.

Anyway, here it is;

I hope you like her, I think she is quite sweet.  I would love for you to check out the rest of the teams makes for this new release.  There are some great creations with the other images that Nicole has released this month.  Don't forget that if you leave a comment on the Challenge blog for this release you can win an image and sentiment from this release.

Thanks for dropping by.

Crafting From The Heart Challenge 40

Hi there,

What glorious weather we are having at the moment.  I love the warmer weather and that is what has inspired my latest card.  My card for this week's challenge at CFTH is using a gorgeous digi from Delicious Doodles called Sunshine Gal.  This image is so fun and a treat to colour.

Here it is;

The papers are from the Echo Park Paradise Beach pad and I have coloured her with Copic's.  The little flowers are a combination of an Elizabeth Crafts die and a My Favourite Things die which I then coloured to look like the stamens in the image.  I finished it off with a Some Odd Girl sentiment that I stamped in blue then clear heat embossed to make it shiny.

I hope you will have a lovely week filled with crafty goodness.

Inky Impressions Challenge 180

Hi everyone,

How are you? Today I get to share with you a card featuring a super cute Inky Impressions stamp called 'Tree Stump Fairy'.  She was so fun to colour and I think she would suit many different styles and themes.  This weeks theme at Inky Impressions is 'Flowers and Leaves' which is a perfect theme for this time of the year. For most of you it is Autumn or Fall but for me it is Spring and this theme makes me want to get outside to enjoy the lovely Spring flowers.

Here is my card;

I have used some beautiful DCWV papers from the Citrus stack and I have coloured her with my Copic's.  Just a couple of embellishments this time as the image is so lovely that I didn't want to over power it.

I hope you like my card this week and I would love to see you enter this weeks challenge.

Penny's Challenge 179

Hi folks,

I hope you are all well. My kids are in the middle of their school holidays at the moment so we have been busy, busy. I still managed to fit in some crafting this week though and I whipped up this little Halloween style card. I loved this image but then I couldn't quite work out what to do so I approached my hubby and unbelievably he came up with an idea.

Here is how it turned out;
I kept thinking of kids going to this ladies door and calling 'Trick or Treat'. What would you choose?

This weeks theme at Penny's is 3 or more patterned papers. My card is pretty simple this week as I really wanted to show off the awesome Dr Digi image, so I have used one main paper and then just added the extra papers as the embellishments, easy.

I hope you will join us this week, I would love to check out your work.

Inky Impressions Challenge 178

Hi again,

Yay, this week I had another play with an Inky image. I thought I would change it up a bit this week so I decided to use a sentiment as my focal point for my creation. When I saw this sentiment it made me think of a gift card, so I made a gift card holder. You can find it here. I hope you like it.

Here it is;

This was so fun to make. I used some of my scraps and just one piece of 6x6 double sided design paper. So I am stoked as I have soooo many scraps.

I hope I have inspired you to get creating. No excuses because guess what? It's Anything Goes this week, yay.

Thanks for dropping by.
Cheers Nicole

Penny's Challenge 196

Hi there,

Thanks for dropping by. Today I have a Christmas card for you. Yay one more to add to my very small collection (whoops). I have used a Fred She Said image and this card is for my sister in-law who has just gotten a puppy so I chose this image for her. The theme for this week is 'Spots and Stripes' and we want to see both. Simple folks, no excuses for not entering.

Here is my card;
I love this image and I especially love the sentiment that came with it. My card is fairly simple this week, I plan to make a few more of these to add to my collection, so hopefully you will see more soon. I hope your Chrissy card making is off to a good start too.

Happy crafting

Penny's Challenge 195

Hi everyone,

Spring has sprung here in Perth and my mood lately is sooo good. I love the warmer weather. I get so much more done when I am happy so I have done housework and crafting this week. What an accomplishment.

Today's card is for this weeks challenge at Penny's. We have a fab new sponsor this week, Karleigh Sue. I came across her on Facebook recently and I love her work. This weeks theme is embossing-wet or dry.

Here is my card;
A super quick and easy new baby card for me this week. I love using my embossing folders but I do neglect them so I had fun making this card. I hope you like it.

Thanks for popping by, I hope to see you soon.

Crafting From The Heart Challenge 36

Hi again,

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you are doing well. Today's card is for the current challenge at CFTH. We have our usual anything goes so I am sure we will be seeing you. I have made a cute CAS card for you this week. I love this style and I think I am getting the hang of it. CAS style cards really show off the image and can really pop when coloured well. I have been doing Alyce Keegan's online classes at Kit and Clowder and I think I can see a difference in my colouring skills, I highly recommend them.

Anyway... Here is my card;
I am loving this hair colour combo, it is one of Alyce's and I love yellow and purple together. I have a young lady in mind for this card as I think it looks just like her.

I hope you will enter this weeks challenge so I can drop on by your blog. I would love it you left a comment so I can come visit you, I love finding new blogs to follow.
Cheers Nicole

Inky Impressions Fall Release

Hi crafters,

Today I have a special card for you. It is for the new 'Fall' release at Inky Impressions. Where I live we call it Autumn but to be honest it doesn't have the same ring to it. I have used some vibrant Autumn colours for my card which feels kind of strange as the weather here is just starting to warm up as it is Spring down here.

I hope you like what I have created with this super cute image called 'Sunflower Kitty'. There are plenty more new release images in store that I know you will love. If you would like to see what you the Inkette's have done with them pop over to the challenge blog, leave a comment and you may win an image and sentiment.

Here is my card;

These are not my normal colours but I really love how this turned out. I have used a gorgeous paper pad by DCWV called 'Green Stack' and I have coloured with my Copic's and a few Promarkers to fill in the gaps in my collection. I added some flowers and stamens from Aliexpress and some pretty lace from Joanna Sheen. The sentiment is also part of the new release and I know I will be using it again and again.

Thanks for dropping by, let me know what you think.

Crafting At The Weekend Challenge 4

Hi,

It's time for another challenge at CATW with another Anything Goes theme.  Bring on all of those different projects and of course your beautiful cards.  I love Some Odd Girl and this time I have made a super bright sunny card using Daffodil Fairy.  It is yucky and wintery at the moment so I was trying to bring some summer to my day.

Here it is;

Our challenge this month is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps and also The Eastwind.  I hope you like my card this month and I hope it gets you inspired.

Keep smiling,
Nicole

Penny's Challenge 186

Hi there,

I hope you are all well. I have been super busy with the kids on there school holidays but I still managed a little crafting. Today's card was inspired by a few friends having babies recently and it made me think that new babies are beautiful and also hard work. So this card will be for when times seem difficult and they need a little pick me up.

Here it is;
This weeks challenge at Penny's is another great one. Yay it's .... Anything Goes! Our awesome sponsors this week are QKR Stampede (where you can find this cutie) and Sparkle and Sprinkle. I do hope you will play along with us this week, I would love to see what you create.

Happy crafting

Penny's Challenge 185

Hi,

I hope you are all well. We have just started the winter school holidays here, so I am enjoying some time off with the kids. I have managed to fit a little crafting in to create my card for this weeks challenge at Penny's. This week the theme is Anything Goes, super easy!

Here is my card for this week;

This week I have used Emily Raindrops from our wonderful sponsor Lacy Sunshine Stamps.  It's Winter here in Perth so I guess this is how I am feeling at the moment. Cold and wet.  I can't complain though it doesn't get that cold compared to other parts of the world. Still too cold for me.

I hope you will drop by the blog and enter a card or three.
Happy crafting.

Crafting From The Heart Challenge 26

Hi there,

What a yucky winters day we have had today.  So windy and rainy, perfect for staying at home.  Shame it's the first day of School Holidays and we had to go out.

My card for CFTH today is a little different than my norm but I loved making it.  I tried my hand at a bit of vintage.  I think it is anyway.  I have use a Sprinkle and Sparkle image called Catherine Hat Lady and I think she is just so pretty.  I am quite pleased with how this turned out.
