Penny's Challenge 205

Hi there,

I hope you are all well and are getting in plenty of crafting during this busy season. My card for today is for this weeks challenge at Penny's. The theme this week is Anything Goes, a nice simple one for you all. I have used a lovely Stamp Art Design by Kathryn image called Marie and I have made a fun Summery card to go with the lovely warm weather we are having at the moment.

Here it is;
Isn't she gorgeous? I just had to team her up with my new Echo Park Walking On Sunshine papers. These papers are so fun. I have used a couple of new Joy Craft dies that went perfectly with the look I was going for. The banner die is also new to me and is by Poppystamps.

I hope you like my card today. Thanks for dropping by.

Penny's Challenge 204

Hello my beautiful crafting people,

I had a very busy few days crafting, 5 cards in 3 days. I managed it but whoa I was relieved when I was done. I have seen others who can do this no worries but I just don't seem to be able to. Well I guess until now. My card today is for this weeks challenge at Penny's. The theme this week is Anything Goes and I am expecting a big one so bring on the beautiful makes people.

Here is my card;

This beauty is from Lacy Sunshine called Patchy Penny's Patchwork Apples and I have coloured her with my Copic's. I used scraps of Echo Park Spring papers to go with the patchwork theme of the stamp. She is quite a sweety and I love how she is carrying the apple.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little creation.
Happy crafting
Nicole

Inky Impressions Challenge 186

Hello again,

I have some more Inky love to share with you today. Today I have my card for this weeks challenge which is Anything Goes with Pearls.  Super easy this week.  My card is quite a simple one this time as this little girl is so pretty, she didn't need a lot of embellishing.  Her name is Birthday Lili and you can find her here.

Here she is;

I love these colours together, they made me feel bright and cheery.  I hope the recipient will feel the same way.  You can also find the sentiment in the shop here.

Thanks for dropping by today, it was lovely that you came.

Inky Impressions November Release

Hi there busy crafters,

Today I have a great little image to share with you from the November New Release at Inky Impressions.  The images this month are so good.  There are some great Christmas images and also some lovely kitchen style images (also could double as Christmas stamps) for you to choose from. I chose something different this time as  I needed a break from Christmas prep. His name is Baking Sammy and I think he is fab.

Here he is;

I tried to colour him so that he has long fur by using a 'flicking' style technique (a Kit and Clowder inspired decision) and I am pretty pleased with how he turned out. I have used some old papers from a paper pad called Kitschy Kitchen by Melissa Frances.  The sentiment is also part of the new release and you can find it here.

I do hope you like these images as much as I do and that you go and check out the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with, with the rest of the fab new images.

Thanks for dropping by.

Penny's Challenge 203

Hi lovely people,

I hope you are all well. Today I have a cute little Christmas card for you using a fun Christmas image from Dianne's Daydream Designs. The theme this week at Pennys is 'Use Black Cardstock' which I thought would be tricky but I forgot how black card stock is so effective. The other ladies on the team have made some lovely projects using this theme, I would love for you to check them out.

Here is my card;
I hope you like my little make this week. Thanks for dropping by.

A bit of Whimsy

Hi there,

How are you all?  Somewhat of a different post for me today, I am entering the DT call at Whimsy Stamps.  I adore everything Whimsy, the stamp artists are so talented and I love all the extras as well.  The dies are so lovely and the clear stamps are so fun.  Whoops better stop rambling and get back to task.  I have created a card today using a sweet little fairy called Posey, I just think she is gorgeous.

Here is my card;

and a close up of my colouring

I went for soft tones today as I wanted her to look so sweet and pretty. I finished her with my clear Wink of Stella pen to her wings and shoes because every fairy needs some sparkle.  The papers are from the Echo Park Hello Summer paper pad and I have coloured her with Copic's.  The sentiment is from a Wee Stamps magazine freebie that I adore. The other dies used are from Joanna Sheen.

Now I guess I better try and sell myself, this is an application.  I'm not the best colourist but I do it for fun and I am constantly trying to get better.  I love to watch and learn from others and then work out what suits me best.  I am currently taking the Skin and Hair class and the Clothing class from Kit and Clowder and whilst I am still only part way through them I am learning so much and my colouring is benefitting.  I love colouring with my Copic's (my new addiction) and I am just starting to play with some other mediums such as SN pencils, Inktense pencils and Distress Inks/Markers.  I just love everything about Whimsy and I would so love to be part of the Design Team.

Oh, I couldn't just do one card with this cutie so here is another fun one for you.

Here she is again;
and another close up

Thanks for dropping by my little blog today, I so appreciate it.
Cheers Nicole

Inky Impressions Challenge 184

Hello again,

I have another cute card for you today for this weeks challenge at Inky Impressions. The theme this week is 'Creative Corners' so that means we want to see you decorate the corners of your cards.  If you are like me and you do that on most of your cards then this should be easy. I have used a super cute image for my card today he is called Robinhood Christopher. I have kept it fairly simple as I don't have a recipient in mind at the moment so I think I will just add a number to it when I need it.

 Here he is;

I got out my Promarkers to colour this week as I just love this green combo but the rest is using my Copic's.  The papers are my usual Echo Park and the die is from Bosskut.  I quick make this week for me. I find these images so easy to use so the cards really just flow once they are coloured. I hope you like it.  If you need more inspiration please head over to the challenge blog to check out what the other ladies have come up with, you will love what they have made.

Thanks for the visit, leave a comment and I will come visit you. I love checking out other peoples blogs.
Cheers Nicole

Penny's Challenge 202

Hi everyone,

This week's card for the current challenge at Penny's was a strange one to make.  Most of you will look at my card and think it is a normal Christmas style card to make but to me down here in Oz it is quite odd.  We celebrate a hot Christmas where I am so snow themed cards are not the norm for me but I could not resist these cute guys from Deedee's Digi's called Dashing Through.

Here it is;

The theme this week is 'Creative Corners' so this means you need to decorate the corners of your card.  I have just used gems to decorate mine but you could use anything.  Pop on over to the Challenge blog to see what the other ladies came up with, I'm sure they will inspire you.

Thanks for dropping by,
Nicole
